Remove roast from bag saving the marinate and vegetables.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBrown: \u003c\/strong\u003eUse paper towel to dry meat. It is very important that meat be fairly dry prior to placing in skillet. Melt 2 tbsp. of butter and 1 tsp. of sugar in skillet un til very hot. Carefully place meat in skillet and brown well on both sides. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBaking: \u003c\/strong\u003ePlace browned meat in roaster and pour in all marinade and the reserved onions and carrots. Cover and bake at 325 degrees F from 1 1\/2 to 2 hours (check roast with thermometer). When meat is well done, remove from pan and slice for serving. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eGravy: \u003c\/strong\u003eBring meat juices to a rolling boil. Blend in 2 tbsp. cornstarch with 1\/2 c. cold water to thicken gravy.
